Crawford Animal Hospital

The mission of the Crawford Animal Hospital family is to nuture the human-animal bond by providing uncompromising care to our clients’ pets through the highest quality of veterinary medicine and through caring service.

We achieve these goals by educating our clients about the best, most progressive and humane veterinary care available for their pets, and by being compassionate, respecting, understanding, and valuing our patients and our clients.

    A Bit of History...

Crawford Animal Hospital used to be located on Hwy 100 in West Allis, right between Gordie Bouche and Wilde Toyota.

Crawford has been in business since 1963. Dr. Crawford and his wife operated the practice from the basement of their home while raising a family upstairs. In 1984 Dr. Toomey and Dr. Vandever purchased the practice while they lived upstairs. Steady growth had allowed the addition of Dr. Hoyer in 1986 and Dr. Sielicki in 1991. In 1992, the practice then expanded to all three levels of the home.

Dr. Toomey and Dr. Vandever have since retired from Crawford Animal Hospital Hospital with successful turnover to Dr. Hoyer and Dr. Sielicki since 1998. Dr. Gorr joined up with the team in 1997 and Dr. Baker joined in 1999.

In 2000 we expanded by offering Verterinary Urgent Care on the Saturday and Sundays from 10am to 7pm. It is ran right out of our building.

In March of 2006, we moved to our current location.
